Tomato Sauce in 2 dishes

Recently, I bought a Chinese vegetarian cook book. It is book published in China. I'm surprised that Chinese in China have started to embrace vegetarian in a very down to earth manner as well. The entire book didn't teach one single MOCK MEAT dish. It is an amazing list of Chinese food cooking with extremely simple ingredients. They even have one or two western style recipe. I have always wanted to try cooking vegetarian spaghetti in with tomato sauce and finally i got a chance with this simple simple recipe.

Other than the ingredient listed above. There are also :

- 1 tablespoon vegetarian oyster sauce

- 1 teaspoon of mexican salsa sauce (if you like spicy taste, this one is my own idea)

- 1 bowl of tomato sauce

Directions :

1. Cut everything as shown above. You can put cherry tomatoes into grinder.

2. Heat the pan with some oil, throw in all the ingredient above. Cook with low fire until you smell the fragance.

3. Finally add the vegetarian oyster sauce and tomato sauce

4. Cooked until the sauce is thick and brightly colored.

5. Voila! Served with pepper and oregano (if you like)

Note :

1. Pick bright color tomatoes and cherry tomatoes.

2. Don't have to add any water in the process of cooking as the tomatoes will ooze juice as you cook.

I accidentally deleted the photo with the finished product of mixing both spaghetti and the sauce. So you may imagine how they mix well together by simply pouring the sauce over the well cooked spaghetti.

If you have make too much. The additional sauce can be kept in the fridge for the next day.

I cooked a baked rice with the sauce.

You can choose any vegetables you like. Will be ideal with some other left overs.

I put in more mushrooms, ladies fingers (leftover) on top of the cooked rice and pour the tomato sauce before finishing with pamesan cheese.

5 mins of prep work and 15mins of oven work!

Very easy and tasty (well, my own taste).

No additional sugar is needed as tomatoes are have natural sweetness if you pick the right ones.

Hope you have fun trying this too!
